Little Worlds

For one week in June the sun never fully sets here. It slides along the horizon and the whole coast is held in a blue that has no proper name — not dusk, not dawn, something older than both.

I shot these on the water, mostly after midnight, when the light stops changing and the sea goes completely still. There's no drama in them. That was the point.
